Welcome! My name is Leslie Smith and I am owner and photographer of Narratives Photography. I am a wife, mother of 4, homeschooler, artist, writer, photographer, creative being, lover of all things nature. I get my kicks from teaching my children, being outdoors and taking pictures. I love the feeling I get when I capture a moment in time on my camera. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? I use my camera to narrate life, and it makes me happy.

I am located in historic, beautiful Marietta, Ohio and also work in surrounding areas. I am originally from Hannibal, Ohio, and have done many Senior Portrait packages in that area. Travelling is definitely an option for me, so contact me if you are interested but are not from my area! I would be happy to discuss our options.

I am a natural light photographer. I do not have a stationary studio, a building in which I set up clients in front of a backdrop and take their pictures. My studio is ever evolving. I use my photography to narrate your life, so I take your photographs where your life happens. I can do in-home shoots, in the comfort of your home, where you live your life. I can also do shoots in outdoor locations. I have locations that I use regularly, but I am certainly open to a location of your choice, because it is your life that I am narrating. If you have a place that is special to you, to your life story, let's go there! We'll work together to find a place that you are comfortable. I'll give you some staged, "smile!" type pictures, but those pictures that capture a moment in between are the ones I go for. Times of reflection, play, intimacy, joy, love... Those are the moments I will use to give you photos that narrate your moment in life.
